ORiNOCO Active Ethernet (PoE)
Active Ethernet is a feature of the ORiNOCO product line that provides Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities for the entire ORiNOCO family of enterprise, outdoor, and public area wireless networking equipment, including Access Points, Access Servers, and Outdoor Routers.

Active Ethernet eliminates the need for AC-to-DC converters and 110/220 VAC cabling installation.  With Active Ethernet, system installers need to run only a single Ethernet cable instead of separate power and data cables to each Access Point base station, saving up to $1,000 per installation.
    
The Active Ethernet power injector device is available in three models: one that can handle one ORiNOCO infrastructure unit, one for six units and one for twelve units.  The 12-port injector fits in a 19 inch rack slot; the 6-port and the 1-port injectors are free standing units.

The ORiNOCO 802.11b/g Client PC Card
The ORiNOCO 802.11b/g Client PC Card delivers the utmost in mobile convenience and performance, so that you can move easily between 802.11 networks at work, home, and in public spaces. Throughput five higher than 802.11b speeds network response times and supports bandwidth-intensive applications.  Fully compliant with all 802.11 standards, the 11b/g PC Card are shipped hardware-ready for upgrade to Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security.   The Silver allows the user to set up to two user profiles. The Gold allows the user to set an unlimited number of user profiles and includes Transmit Power Control to improve performance for high security and high interference environments.
