Active Ethernet eliminates
the need for AC-to-DC converters and 110/220 VAC cabling
installation. With Active Ethernet, system installers need to run
only a single Ethernet cable instead of separate power and data cables
to each Access Point base station, saving up to $1,000 per installation. The Active Ethernet power injector device is available in three models: one that can handle one ORiNOCO infrastructure unit, one for six units and one for twelve units. The 12-port injector fits in a 19 inch rack slot; the 6-port and the 1-port injectors are free standing units. |
