USB Ranger 2212 Cat 5 Extender with Remote Power |
The USB Ranger® 2212 is a two port,
remote powered, USB 2.0 extension solution, enabling USB 2.0
connections at up to 480Mbps over 100m/330ft of Cat 5
cabling. The Ranger 2212 delivers standard 500mA USB power
over the Cat 5 extension link to the two port remote hub,
eliminating the need to locate the remote USB devices near
an AC power outlet and greatly increasing the ease of
deployment for USB extension in industrial, medical,
commercial and other applications.
The USB Ranger 2212, and the Ranger 2200 family

The USB Ranger 2101 and 2104 extenders represent
a significant milestone in the USB market supporting USB 2.0

100m/330ft, doubling the extension distance of 50m/165ft of the
previous generation.
Powered by patented ExtremeUSB technology, the
USB Ranger 2101 supports a single device port; the USB Ranger 2104

same wiring used in Ethernet). The USB Rover® 1850 uses
technology ideal for extending USB peripherals and does
not require additional software for either the computer
or the target devices.
The USB Rover® 1850 product
is composed of two separate units: the Local Extender
(LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB
cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host
